Happy Father's Day!

A Dad is a person
who is loving and kind,
And often he knows
what you have on your mind.
He's someone who listens,
suggests, and defends.
A dad can be one
of your very best friends!
He's proud of your triumphs,
but when things go wrong,
A dad can be patient
and helpful and strong
In all that you do,
a dad's love plays a part.
There's always a place for him
deep in your heart.
And each year that passes,
you're even more glad,
More grateful and proud
just to call him your dad!

Thank you, Dad...

for listening and caring,
for giving and sharing,
but, especially, for just being you!
Love ya Daddy.

"Please don't nag yourself with thoughts of failure. Do not set goals far beyond your capacity to achieve. Simply do what you can do, in the best way you know, and the Lord will accept of your effort." -Gordon B. Hinckley

i remember hearing this quote and when i found it this afternoon it gave me such a little boost to my day.

our lives as of lately...

So dave and i wont have many opportunities to do much camping this summer so we thought we would try to get some in this past weekend. we were determined no matter the weather..

All bundled up and trying to stay warm..

We headed upto edmonton last weekend to get Daves medicals done. We stayed with Matt & Shauna for the 2 nights. Thanks again! We went shopping at west ed and hit Bass Pro Shop on the way back. We got to visit with Darren & Laura in chestemere, it wasnt very long but nice to see them. I gave the girls haircuts while i was up there. We dont have a picture of Graces.
Becky's new hair cut....

Anna's new hair cut....

its a long drive to edmonton and back in 3 days we were getting bored ( im wearing 3D glasses). I even atteptempted painting my nails in a moving car.. it was very difficult.

Dave and i have been doing quite a bit of fishing heres some new fish pictures...

the waiting game is coming to a close...

So everything is all done! The RCMP is done the background checks, were done the medicals. Now we are just waiting for the letter or the phone call saying when depot is, could be 2 weeks could be 6 weeks. I'm hoping sooner then later! The sooner hes gone the sooner hes back! We are ready now that were all moved in and the storage unit is filled.
Its sure been different living with Mindy but a good different. We now shut doors, we put everything up high, we wake up earlier, we appreciate 7:30pm and we constantly get " auntie nysha/uncle david i missed you." Its so fun having kids around i have to admit i was a little nervous ( who wouldn't be? ) we don't have kids and then all of a sudden you have 4 running around. its been so fun! Playing with them or them just asking us if we slept well.
I'll keep you guys posted on when dave leaves, they don't give much notice. He could leave within 10 days of getting notice. I really want to have a big whoha for when he leaves, give him some support and encouragement for his upcoming depot/boot camp (pretty much the same thing).
