May.

Where has this month gone?! Life hasn't been too busy, just enjoying the sunshine! Hard to believe Levi only has one more week of preschool left. Our summer holidays are in a month! We've been in Strathmore two months!

With higher expenses living here I have decided to start babysitting two kids, 1-2 days a week. Im excited and hoping it goes smoothly. It's a 4 year old little boy and a 2 year old little girl. Levi and the little boy play so well together, so it kind of feels like a day long play date.  Since we a 5 seater SUV, its time to upgrade. I am eating my words and mourning that I have to buy a van. Its truly so sad to me. Im sure I'll enjoy it down the road, but for now I'm in denial that I am in that stage of life where I need a van.  We bought a ford freestar, can't live without my keypad (only fords have them).

We also had our home visit and interview to do home-stay students last week. We should find out this week or next who we will be placed with in august.  We're excited!

This weekend we were down in Mountain View to help the Murray's on a hangar their building and to inspect the explorer (which it failed, boo! But grateful we bought the van!) Sunday after the canada wide stake conference broadcast we headed into Waterton. It was so fun, it's always been our little getaway spot.
We saw a bear super close and had a traffic ram (so punny!).  Cameron lake is still frozen with tons of snow!

Levi is such a hiker, he loves to lead and show us which way is best. He's just like Dave, and it makes us so proud of how well he does.
Thanks Laura for lending the backpack! Will doesn't look to excited but he loved it!

Of course we had to take a family picture in front of the falls, just like all the tourists.

Dave's parents had the quad out at the airport so of course we had to go for a spin.

Will has become obsessed with horses and cows. I just love this picture. We pulled over and let Will feed the horses. He loved it. He's started doing the animal noises when he sees them, it's pretty adorable.

We're excited to see what June brings for us! And excited to be planning our holidays!

time. slow down.

i like these stages. please stay little, don't grow up.

Will understands a lot of what were saying and asking. He knows how to be funny, and ridiculously cute.

Levi is an amazing helper and the sweetest flirt. "momma, you're sooo pretty. i just love you!"

Dear Levi

(Snapped this after church, with his favourite hat and toy)

Dear Levi,

You've grown so much these last few months. You're extremely smart, very inquisitive, brave, independent, strong, and sensitive. Your my challenge, but a good challenge, I'm constantly trying to keep up with you! Today you did something that made me so proud, you bore your testimony in church. You we're so brave, you made your dad and I just beam! You had no fear, you walked up there and said a very special testimony. You have an amazing spirit about you, we're always amazed by the things you say in prayers. Sometimes it makes us giggle when you pray for your Easter chocolate to be healthy, or that Micah can sleep over for a boy party. But your so sincere.

Your an excellent big brother, sometimes we feel like we give you so much responsibility but you handle it all so well. Will admires you so much and always wants to be where you are. You two love each other so much, it just makes our heart wanna burst! Whenever Will is sad you know exactly how to cheer him up. We always hope you two will stay close. You make friends so easy, and are such a good friend.

Levi, your so smart! It just blows us away with the things your learning. You have such a thirst for knowledge and a love for learning. You ask so many questions these days, and we can just see the wheels a turning as your trying to process this big world. You love letters and words right now. You're constantly spelling or writing your letters. Preschool has taught you so much, and you absolutely love it there. We hope that you'll always want to keep learning and never settle.

Some fun facts: you wear a hat from the minute you wake up till you go to bed! You "love" everything: I love you to the moon and back, I love cheese, I just love myyyy grandma. Your just out growing blankies, we no longer take one all over the house but funny enough Will has picked up on this habit too and now loves them just like you! You love movies, and songs off movies. You admire your father so much, and have become so fascinated by his job of "saving the good guys from the bad guys". You love to snuggle!! You've become so brave at the parks. Your witty, oh your a funny kid!

I love you so much & always will,
Mom

Tour pt.2

took me long enough...
well we headed down south last weekend for a quick family trip. It was good to be back "home", i even made Dave drive by our old house. ya know, just making sure it was still there. while being down south it made me miss the familiarity, and being surrounded by family and friends. but coming back, was good! this is where were suppose to be, and our house now feels like home! guess it really does take leaving to let you know what you have.

the weather has been beautiful, we are wearing shorts today! so we've done lots of walks, and i forgot small towns have sooo many parks! at our old place we had about 2-3 parks within walking distance, here we've found about 6 and im sure theirs even more. so many house that are clustered together have a park in the back alleys, makes them hard to find but they don't get busy either! yesterday the park we went too didnt't have a baby swing to keep Will hostage in, so i let him run around. its the second time i ever felt like, oh maybe two kids is a little trickier then one. both running in opposite directions, and Will has gotten fast!

{oh and the first time i thought two was busy, was at the library when Will refused to be in his stroller.}

pt.2
the down stairs family room. I could take the shot from behind because behind the couch is the office and the storage room. We haven't decorated down stairs yet.
 the kids play area.
woohooo to have a place to make a mess! kids seem to like it! and i love that i can get ready in the morning and let them just play.

The spare room is still kind of the "were not sure where to put things yet" room. Will is in there for now, I don't know when we put the boys back together in a room. But when people stay over we just put Will in a play pen in our room.

So if you saw our last kitchen, then you know this makes our new kitchen feel like the worlds smallest kitchen. ( and it feels even smaller when two kids are crying at your feet while trying to cook supper )

the kitchen has been one of the biggest adjustments. i think we miss our white appliances and our glass top stove the most. and light, oh we had so much natural light in our old kitchen.

So theirs the new place. its nothing fancy but its nice, clean and we have quiet neighbors. i was worried about that, but we hardly hear anyone. we do really love it here.

So come for a visit, and as Levi tells everyone "we live at 315 Strathmore".
