the acreage house - part one.

The upstairs living room. We pick up a couch for it tonight. Were excited for a real fireplace for Christmas time!

I started to hang pictures for my gallery wall but broke one of them. So gotta get a new one before I can finish the wall. These were our sweet $25 chair finds, they're actually super comfy!

Our view out the balcony doors. I love having a wrap around porch to be able to see the kids anywhere around the yard. Plus the big windows let in sooo much light!

Check out that stylish pantry, what you cant see is the green plexi glass behind it. The kitchen is full of "character".

We have another balcony door heading off the kitchen, perfect for Barbecuing.

We're still trying to sort out the kitchen, for a big house the kitchen is very small. I guess not small just not a great use of kitchen space. I'm sure we will rearrange it several times before we feel like we've got it organized the way I want it.

Im hoping to hit up Real deals next week to snag a few more frames for this gallery wall. Its as soon as you come through the front entrance.

Check out that 70's bathroom... marble toilet!

and floor to ceiling tile...

This is our downstairs living room. This is only half of the living room, were still trying to sort out what to do with the rest of the big space. There's also a kitchen downstairs as well.

A gas fireplace.
I know have two fireplace mantles to decorate for the seasons... I am in trouble! Dave already thinks we have too much seasonal decor..

A perfect place to stash all the kids toys!

The basement is a full walk out so its sooo bright and I can see the boys playing in the back.

Were getting mostly settled now but still need to do the garage. So hopefully some things I've been looking for are in there. Im really surprised how fast we all adjusted to being out of town. Ai is loving the space, she's down in the basement by herself. Plus she loves having fires and seeing wildlife. We see deer every few days, and with the snow fall we keep seeing their tracks.

We roasted hot dogs and marshmallows for our anniversary with the kids. Dave and I both weren't feeling well and didn't want to go anywhere that day. We've just been so busy it was nice to finally have one day at home.

I spent yesterday putting up frames and decor and the boys wanted a picture too.

the acreage.

Well I was gonna blog about all the stress of the last 2 weeks but instead here's some fun we had this morning. Now that all my "big stresses" are done I just wanted to relax with the boys today.

My mom got the boys some toys for the new yard, and they couldn't wait to bust them out.

As you can tell its pretty over grown and needs some serious work. The big storm that hit in September broke quite a few branches and even knocked a tree down. So theres tons of branches and saw dust just grounded into the ground. So happy Dave enjoys this kind of thing, so hes got all sorts of plans to fix the yard up.

Here's the sad tree that got destroyed, it use to have a swing on it. So now we'll have to find a new place to hang a swing from.

If you look closely you can see 2 geese back by the lake, I see them there most mornings.

Levi found a bird house and wanted a picture of it.

On the plus side of all that damage it gave us some really great firewood for our fire pit and fireplace!

We got Will window markers for his birthday, so awesome on our wrap around deck. The boys colored for a good 20-30mins. Now lets just hope its easy to wash off cause Will colored on almost ever panel around the deck.

Here's some more things that happened this week. (Pictures off my phone so not as awesome)

Canadain tire had an 8ft trampoline on clearance so we caved and got it for the boys.

Dave had friday off so we tested out our fire pit. The boys loved getting wood for Dave from the pile and helping him.

It was pretty chilly out but the boys didn't care they just kept running around!

Not the best picture but some deer in the yard this morning.

It's still crazy to think we have so much house and land! Our boys were totally meant for the outdoors! There's a hill on the side of the house and it makes it hard for Will to run on but he doesn't care. Every time he falls he gets up and wipes his hands and chases after levi.

We feel really blessed to have found this place and to be making it home.

We have a home!

We found a place! We signed the lease last sunday for the acreage. Of course that Monday the landlords to the townhouse we wanted, called asking us to please take the townhouse.
Such a relief to know we've got something but also crazy to move in less then 2 weeks. Its been such a busy week and a half getting things ready and packed. I told dave we aren't moving again for at least 2 years! HA!

Someone broke into our van last week and stole some stuff, it was such a hassle. I had dropped the kids off at friends cause I was headed to my 16 week check up. I noticed the dvds were everywhere, which is unusual. So I texted Dave if he left them like that (and knew he wouldn't), he said no. Thats when I noticed, the post office key was missing, my debit card, phone charger, drivers license and a few other things. My dr is in Langdon so I didn't want to drive without a license, so I cancelled my appt and my (awesome!!) friend watched the kids so I could do all these errands. Since Ive never had to replace all these things (besides a debit card), it was quite the adventure figuring out what I needed to do first and replace first and pay for. Luckily there was no damage to the van or that it was the house. It just ticked me off that I spent a couple of hours running around and at the police station.

So grateful Dave has a job he can bank overtime to days off, he's taking 3 days off the next 2 weeks. Two days to help move, and a day for our ultrasound next week. So glad he can help so much with the move, I can definitely tell my stress levels are high. Doing a birthday party, March 17th party, a move, a gender reveal, Anniversary and Dave is an honorary guard for a hockey game this Sunday all in 10 days has me a little crazy. It'll be nice to have it all done and just settle in, at our new place.

We have so many plans and ideas on what we want to do. Daves now got a garage so i've got a to-do list brewing in my head of all the projects he can do! (sorry dave!) The elders quorum have volunteered to come do some service to help with the yard, yeehaw!   The boys are pretty excited, Levi can't even comprehend being able to just ride his bike wherever. Its all fenced in and just a cattle gate on the road, so the boys have quite a bit of freedom. Will really is just excited to be able to go outside and also kinda has no idea of whats going on but he gets cake soon, ha! We're doing his birthday Saturday after the move since both grandparents will be up.

Here's to a smooth move! I'll post pictures soon.
